Plan for Tomorrow
Yesterday, I wrote I needed to manage my losses, and so I did.
I have a few trades that have reached my loss management threshold (>100% loss of premium received), I will look to close those.
I also hoped VIX did not go higher, but it did.
However, I am hoping VIX does not breach 35, because that would mean too much risk for me - I would rather just take the entire capital off the market and wait for VIX to crash a little down into 20s.
However, I don't think I want to close my Cash Secured Puts. I would prefer to get assigned and ride the storm. So I am going to let the existing CSP trades stand unless I need to free some capital up for a different opportunity.
One other idea I have is to switch to Selling Call Credit Spreads to carry me through the year - I am down by over 30% and it is going to require some serious luck to turn this around. My best case scenario is to just survive the year and not lose it all.
