Day 29 - End of Week 6
Foolish Trader Journal, Day 29. End of Week 6.
The market was trending down earlier in the day, but managed to end reasonably well. SPY moved up by ~1.5% and QQQ moved up by ~1.6%.
Today ends Week 6 of my journey. This is my first full calendar month of logging every trade I made. No, I have not become any more wiser if you must know.
Trading Update
- I was itching to take a big risk with little reward and gave in to my temptations. I opened 7 QQQ ($525 / $530) Call Credit Spreads. The $525 sell had a ~16∆.
Portfolio Status
The account was mostly flat, and ended slightly lower, lower by -0.17% today. My account value continues to be lower than I had started this journey.
Here is the status of my open trades at the end of the day today.

Here is a Year to date view of the portfolio.

Trade History
Here are the last 20 trades I made.

Next Week's Outlook
I will continue to hold on to the open LEAPS.
I will look to close one or more of the QQQ spreads.
Generally, I think the market will move sideways next week so I may look at some neutral strategies if I can free up some more cash.
Speculation Zone
Yesterday, I speculated that stocks might go up. While that was right, I could not quite make any money out of it, which is the only thing I care about here.
I think there may be some green in stocks tomorrow just because they have not moved up at all in the last week.
