Day 27
Foolish Trader Journal, Day 27.
The market was mostly flat but ended slightly higher today than yesterday. SPY and QQQ both moved up by less than a half percent.
Trading Update
- Ten minutes after the market open, I risked $500 out of the $900 cash I had on a META $655/$650 2/28 Put Credit Spread. The Put I sold was nearly ~35∆. I decided to enter the trade because META looked oversold and I thought it would inch up a little.
Portfolio Status
The account was slightly up today, mostly flat but closing at +1% over yesterday.
Here is the status of my open trades at the end of the day today.

Here is a Year to date view of the portfolio.

Trade History
Here are the last 20 trades I made.

Tomorrow's Outlook
I will continue to hold on to the open LEAPS.
I will look to close the META spread I opened today, unless META moves down. If it moves down, I would likely look to close the trade in the first hour on Friday (today is Wednesday so effectively I opened the spread at 2 DTE). I do not like leaving a spread open until expiry.
Speculation Zone
I am surprised by the continued drop in GOOGL. Google is a hugely profitable company with high profit margins. And I am not talking about some distant future where some fancy new tech will be delivered by Google and hence I should own it - the company is currently profitable. If I was not cash crunched, I would have loved to buy the shares outright.
