Day 26

The market was generally down again today. SPY was down a half-percent for the day. QQQ was down ~1%.

Trading Update

• I kept looking to get into a position but with only ~$900 in cash, there were not that many interesting ideas I could explore. No new trades today for me.

Portfolio Status

The account was down another 5.4% today, adding to the continued drops this past few days.

The account is now back to where it was when I launched Foolish Trader, which is fascinating, I have managed to pass 26 days without blowing up my account yet.

Tomorrow's Outlook

I will continue to hold on to the open LEAPS.

I am interested in exploring a new idea. Buying an index every now or then and holding on to it, so I can compare the growth of those to the rest of the account.

Speculation Zone

I keep wondering how to get advantage of this chaos and keep thinking if only I had more cash at hand. A lot of the stocks I monitor look really attractive now for owning long term but I do not have any cash to spare.

I guess there is a lesson in there to keep enough trading cash always available, but so far it has been hard on me to see cash not deployed in the market just sitting in the account.
