Day 16 - A Quiet Day
Foolish Trader Journal, Day 16
In my previous post that I wrote last Friday, I wrote about opening a couple of new LEAP positions. In total, right now I have 3 LEAPS open, and together they have cost me $9539. This amount is nearly 70% of my current portfolio.
Portfolio Status
Here is the status of my open LEAPS at the end of the day today.

The bigger and more expensive trades inched a little higher today. They are still unrealized, but I would take the momentary happiness of crossing 13K for the first time.

Trading Update
I did not open any new positions today. I want to keep a little cash aside (3K) in case VIX shoots up and I want to sell something new (or buy). High VIX === High Option Premium.
I did not close any existing positions. I am looking for the LEAPS to get to 15-30% over the next 2-3 months.
Plan for the week
But wait, waiting does sound boring and passive. What am I going to do, just login everyday, watch the market, and do nothing? Where is the fun in that? We don't do passive investing when we are foolish. If nothing else, I may just open a couple of Credit Spreads to keep me on the edge, and thus distracted away from my open LEAPS. But I admit it is going to be hard to keep that much capital just sit and wait.
